Nursery remodel project

BLUE JEAN CURTAINS THAT HOOK WITH THE CLASPS  LIKE FARMER PANTS DO. I USED THOSE HALF ROUND FLAGS TO PIN UP ON THE TOP OF THEM FOR DECORATION AND BOUGHT THE WOODEN FLAG STAR AT A GARAGE SALE

THIS WAS PERFECT AS THE NURSERY WAS FOR THE TWINS BOY/GIRL AND  MATTHEW  THIS PIC IS 2 BOYS AND A GIRL.

THESE HALF  BUCKETS THAT HANG ON THE WALL WERE BOUGHT FOR A THEMED B-DAY PARTY. (RED WHITE BLUE COWBOY AND GIRL THEME )  THE FLAGS WERE HANDED OUT TO ME AT JIMS GOING AWAY PARTY WHEN HE LEFT FOR IRAQ. THE BEARS WERE GIVEN TO HIM AT HIS HOMECOMING PARTY WHEN HE STEPPED OFF THE PLANE IN TEXAS BY SOME ORGANIZATION THAT GAVE THINGS FOR THE MEN TO GIVE THEIR CHILDREN. ONE IS FOR  SIERRA AND ONE FOR JAMES MATTHEW WAS NOT YET BORN. THE OLDER CHILDREN RECEIVED DOG TAGS WITH THEIR NAMES AND THE DATE OF JIMS DEPLOYMENT ON IT AS A GIFT FROM HIM.
Because of Jim's back this project took all summer to complete! We started in June and it took up until the September to complete! He put all new windows drywall and insulation in. He had days where he could work and days where he couldn't but he kept going! Thanks Jim for all your hard work! Your family loves you  for it!
The quilt was given to Jim by a Wounded Warrior  Group and so was the pillow case that  I used to cover the  babies changing pad. I chose the red white and blue American theme as There were two boys and a girl and it is kind of old fashioned (also for the SGT).
Horrible stairs that needed replaced
The bedroom had the stairs right in it

to the right of the stairs we have a door to the master bedroom now.

The storage under the old staircase

The closet which still remains the same. Will be finished eventually!

This is the huge window that went to the stair way. We were going to wall it off, However the sun light from those windows on that yellow wall is too much to miss out on so we put new windows in here.

Stairs have been removed in this pic if you look close that is the wall .

We had no idea how to build this so together we came up with a plan using dimensions of  stair codes that we found for Michigan.  It was mostly my plan and he still complains that it is not right but I am the wife and it is my opinion that counts right? lol

building the wall that walled the  nursery off from the stair way. Masks are so they don't breath  dust and Alex is way back when the saw when it is running.

Had to make him take a break so I can get there picture with the monkey masks.

This is Katelyn who wanted to pose like she was working after MOM did all the work.. lol

Trying to get the stuff set up as we had not long before the baby was due.

The almost finished product. We still have not finished the trim .

Thanks for looking!
