Long weekend is over..

This weekend was supposed to be a Dad weekend  for Kate and Meg however the kids chose to work for grandpa raking leaves so they stayed home. So much for Mom and Jimmy Daddy's break from kids. I have been sick anyways so we would not have gone anywhere. So if you know anything about having kids you know that being sick does not mean mom gets to relax.  We worked on the house alot emptying the play room and sorting things to donate. At this time we have a  trailer loaded and ready to go in the morning. As soon as he comes back with that I will be able to fill it back up and send it off again.

I had been saving all my items for a few years now thinking we would have a sale. They have taken over our garage, a few sheds and the basement.   A few months  back I began to have Jim load the trailer to donate the things and ended up changing my mind. For some reason i just could not bring my self to donate the stuff. As selfish as I knew it was I justified it by saying "the economy is bad and we may need to have a sale to make money".  I have been using that as my back up. There are alot of really nice things I could consign at Corner Closet or sell on ebay, or craigslist

A Few years back I read a book called Apples of gold. I don't want to do a book review of it right now and can't remember all the details of it but the book inspired me to give all my things I did not need away. God has provided me with more than I need. What I have that I do not need I should donate. By holding onto these things that I do not need I am not trusiting in god that he will provide.  So anyways the trailer is ready to go and be donated again to Love Inc.

Psalm 31:14  But I trust in you, LORD; I say, “You are my God.”

Luke 6:38 Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

Luke 12:33  Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will never fail, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys.

Philippians 4:19  And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
