Heartbroken does not describe it...... Senta MENTAL ole Me

Yesterday was one of those times that I really notice how much harder it can be on us when we do not follow gods plan for us. My oldest daughters go to there dads every other weekend and on holidays.  They do the regular visitation that a lot of guys do through the court.  The rest of the time they are with  Jim and I. We have had issues with Megan and her hair getting snarly  by the end of the day. For this reason I asked her if she would wear hair clips that were very pretty and expensive if I bought  her some for Christmas.

I was planning on taking Megan to get her hair thinned out so it would help on the snarling and still be able to be kept long.  If this did not work then we would cut and donate her hair. They left for there dads on Friday and came home on Monday to decorate the tree. As soon as Megan walked in I noticed her hair and flipped. They knew it would upset me and yet they went and cut her hair. Megan said Her fathers wife was combing it but was  unable to get a snarl out and hacked a big chunk off. They then took her to Wal-mart to get the rest cut. Jim and I have spent lots of time making sure Megan has her hair brushed and it did get very snarly the way she flung it about throughout the day as she did not want to wear it up. I feel that it was lazy on her fathers wife's part to not have her sit and brush it out. They do not have the kids very often at all; as it is, so a little effort on their part the few days they have them would not hurt them. My oldest son has just moved in with them as he is 16 but he is old enough to care for himself and says he even gets their other 2 girls off to Pre-school in the mornings. That is another blog post.

Of course I called and Complained on their answering machine and told Her step mom not to STEP foot on our property. If he wants to pick the kids up he can do it.   This was not most likely the most adult way to handle this but I feel this is my right to decide how my daughters hair is cut and when not there's.  No one even called me and asked. I am sure she will complain  about Megs hair not being taken care of as it was most likely snarly but if she knew what she was doing she could have gotten it out.  Megan wanted it cut however I was still upset as I was planning on thinning it and having her try that before donating her hair to locks of love.
This was this past summer and shows the shorter part of Megs hair which was way longer by the time it was cut.

So Megan and Katelyn were very mad at me for being mad about her hair cut. (Which I am sure their Fathers wife will be pleased to read anything negative) I apologized to Meg for being so upset with her as she said she did not know. However as I suspected Her fathers wife told her "your mom is going to be mad about your hair cut" before she left to come back home. So I know she knew I would be mad and I am sure she soaked in the joy.
I realize that Her front of her hair is adorable However when I looked at her Christmas gifts on Saturday I found my self in tears. She has beautiful hair things and no hair for them. It makes me so sad. On the other hand  if the hair was kept by her Fathers wife as she said we can donate it to some little girl who will be able to have hair that is as cute as Megan's new hair cut.  It is was long enough for two hair cuts this style. That makes me smile and takes the tears away.

As I said before God planned our lives to be one way and when we stray from what he  has set out for us it makes it harder on us.  Though God can forgive us for our past if we ask and believe in him it does not make it a cake walk when you stray from how he planned it.
Malachi 2:16
"I hate divorce," says the LORD God of Israel, "and I hate a man's covering himself with violence as well as with his garment," says the LORD Almighty. So guard yourself in your spirit, and do not break faith.
1 Corinthians 7:10 To the married I give this command (not I, but the Lord): A wife must not separate from her husband.

The second thing I would like to say is that I could have controlled my temper a little bit better rather than called and left a mean message on the machine.  I would like to say that I am proud of my  self as back in 2003 My ex husband had a different Girlfriend who cut Megan's hair and it ended in a fist fight. (I am pretty sure that was what that was over) For that lord I would like to thank you, for who I am today, is not who I was yesterday.
Ecclesiastes 7:9
New International Version (©1984)
Do not be quickly provoked in your spirit, for anger resides in the lap of fools.
