simple womans day book Feb 3

Outside my window... I see the remnants of a Christmas past as a Christmas tree lies next to my garage waiting for spring time.

I am thinking... about a past that seems so far away. Though some things, as far as they were seem, like only yesterday.

I am thankful...  for god and for everything that I continue to become through him.

In the kitchen... We had planned something for yesterday but as life goes we did not go with our plans. Its okay we will just have to make it today. Not everything goes as planned around here.

I am wearing... a pink shirt that is sort of dressy and a pair of Calvin Klein jeans that I bought new for only a dollar. My hair which was left down and pulled back with a barrette at court today is pulled up in a bun.

I am creating... this blog post and I need to create a list with Megan for her birthday party that is on Sunday

I am going... to be so tired by the end of the night. I already need a nap as I was preparing court documents last night and up late.

I am wondering... I always wonder how much I should share on these posts. I want to maintain a relaxing, simple and appreciative blog post. I still want to be able to tell the truth about where I came from, where I am going and where I am with all that.

I am reading...
Life Promises for Couples by Gary Chapman is the latest book shipped from Tyndale to me. I can’t wait to get it but that means I need to get this review from book sneeze for the book I am reading for them completed soon too.

I am hoping...
For a future full of Good things.

I am looking forward to...
a good night’s sleep tonight, a baby shower, Megan’s birthday party and a date night with my husband someday.

I am learning,
That no matter how much you pray for some people they will continue to make decisions in their life that lessens their own happiness and makes for a horrible future. I also have learned that praying for someone whose poor decisions directly affects us is the right thing to do no matter what the outcome.
Around the house...
This week we sign the papers with the contractor to begin the rehab on our house. This is an 1800’s farm house that is in the outskirts of town. They will be rehabbing things like electric, siding plumbing and bringing everything up to present code.  We signed the papers for the mortgage last week. I was not as happy to sign

I am pondering...
What color I will want the house siding to be. We don’t want to go with too darks as it will fade but living near the busy street makes it so I do not want to pick too light of a color.

A favorite quote for today... While proof reading this post to my daughters up until this point I then came to a quote for the day, “hmm’ I said “What’s a good one girls? Kate blurted out “Keep Moving Forward“Walt Disney Seems like a good one too me.

One of my favorite things... Is spending time with all my children reading to them while they take turns? Reading with my kids and watching them learn and then hearing them read to me. I have posted a video of my 2 year old reading me a book complete if you want to watch it. click on the video here.

A few plans for the rest of the week:
Lot of plans for the week. Appointment's and so on.

A peek into my day...
This post started on Friday and it is now Monday and I am entering a picture of Megan at her birthday party. She was outside playing hard before this. That is the slider to outside behind us that had to be closed to take the pic as the sun was peeking through.
