Garden club and Some hillbilly's That sums my day

So earlier today I noticed that my dad and my husband were both wearing their suspenders. I knew back years ago that they were a lot alike but this tops it off. LOL... What a couple of old men. HA HA  Honey His pans are WAY bigger I would not mess with him.
Yes, it was our Anniversary today but I had forgot about it being on Wednesday and made arrangements to go to the garden club. I very much enjoy gardening and even though I have not the time to get mine started yet, Its a nice break to go do the churches. Kate had to be there for her Wednesday service anyways.  The best part about garden club  is that when it is complete all the overflow will be donated to Love INC. I am very Grateful to be part of this. I am learning a lot too. So anyways Today we had added Soil to these beds and did lots of shoveling. Fred (The head gardener) :)  had made these really awesome fences which we put in at the last meeting and he had added the shoes sometime during the week. He slips in and does things with the garden quite a bit in between meetings I think. :) So Today we planted onions and some Strawberries and I learned about how you have to clip the bud off if you want it to get a runner and multiply the first year. Then the next year your plants will be bigger and better. I will try this with mine this year to see if I can get more plants. Oh yeah I got to add a few flowers to the shoes also. I am wondering how we will keep them from dying as the soil in there was pretty dry and cracking in some spots. Oh I also learned about this gel stuff that you get wet and it will keep your plants watered for you.  Over in the back ground is the old firepit being removed that was in the way over there and not of use any more. I would love to have that at my house for a fire pit but I bet it is heavy. Each one of the beds is having a different kind of soil and fertilizer and the guys are keeping track of it so they can see what grows best to. Pretty awesome stuff. I will take pics to show the progress throughout the summer. There are 10 more beds being put in soon.

Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; not lording it overthose entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock.

Thank you so much for your kind comments. After I have recently began getting many spam comments with links in them to sites that are less than family friendly, I decided to stop allowing anonymous comments. Please feel free to comment on our Facebook if you do not have a way to comment on here. It is pretty easy to sign up though. Missy
